6 Pandemic ideas I hope we continue after the new year

Restrictions during the pandemic were challenging, but I hope some changes stick around once we’ve flattened the curve

2020. We’re all aware of what kind of year its been.

The year started off like any other; we all made plans, calendared our vacations and, arranged for future days off. We looked forward to attending outdoor concerts, our favorite art festivals, and local farmers markets. We saved plenty of dates intending to go to graduations, weddings, and milestone anniversary parties.

Then sometime around the beginning of Spring, or maybe even sooner if you lived overseas, it started to happen.

We started wondering if we would have enough toilet paper to get through the month, then the summer. We started bantering about stocking up and freezing food, setting aside plenty of baking supplies and wondering if wearing a disposable or white surgical mask would really make a difference.

Rather than giving our down time or extra attention to the usual non-essential pro athlete or celebrity, suddenly we were paying much closer attention to a different type of champion, Dr. Anthony Fauci.

None of us knew what to expect, but somehow he managed to keep us in the loop, consistently telling us the truth, and helping all of us get…
